Frappr

December 17th, 2005 by George Burnett

One of the newest additions to the social networking sites is Frappr, a mash-up of Google maps, Del.icio.us & Myspace. This site is pretty interesting and fun to browse as you can find people of like interests in your area or across the globe. Frappr has become quite popular with the podcasters in the last few months as they can see where there listeners are, which is really very cool. Here is an example of Adam Curry’s Daily Source Code Frappr map. As you can see there are people spanning across the globe from West USA to Switzerland back around to Australia, complete with pictures and user information from all the Frapprs.

Once you have an account with Frappr you can being doing location mapping such as malls, resturants & entertainment in your area as well as people searching .

Check it out and start mapping yourself too. If nothing else it could be a great way to find that special someone in your area!
