DIY Bottle Cap Tripod

March 21st, 2006 by George Burnett

Bottle Cap TripodIt seems the do-it-yourself bottle cap tripod is the talk of the internet today. Jake Ludington of Jake Ludington’s MediaBlab, has created a step-by-step instruction set for creating a digital camera tripod from a Pepsi bottle. He got the idea from the Japanese retail version of the same product.

There is an article on Make that was inspired by this project as well call “HOW TO - Mounting a camera to your bike” which is pretty cool as well.

Funny how these ideas start feeding from one project to the next.
hrmmm… bicycle shopping cart tasticness!

The best part is I posted the DIY Bottle Cap Tripod almost two years ago and it didn’t really get hot until Popular Science decided to feature it in the April 2006 issue with a mispelled URL.

Too funny! You just have to love the way the internet works :-)
