A Better iPod Manager :: YamiPod

April 22nd, 2006 by George Burnett

YamiPod YamiPod is a freeware application to efficiently manage your iPod under Mac OS X, Windows and Linux. It can be run directly from your iPod and needs no installation. Just check out some of the features:

  • mp3 and AAC files can be copied to/from iPod
  • read/write access to mp3 id3 and AAC infos
  • Growl support (Apple only)
  • News RSS and podcasts to iPod upload
  • full unicode support
  • find lost music files
  • built in music player
  • export song lists to HTML or plain text files
  • and a lot more!

This software blows away the usability and stability issues that is Ephpod and most other iPod managing software releases. I have been successfully using YamiPod for about a week now and it seems to be doing exactly what it’s supposed to and nothing else and well, what else can you ask for!

Holy moly that sounds awesome! I have yet to try it out, but if the interface doesn’t suck, the fact that it’s cross-platform AND self-contained makes this program a winner.
