This is a demo of a brand new Apple MacBook (black) with 2GB of RAM running Virtual Machine from Parallels (beta 6) and Virtue desktop emulator.
In the video the user switches from Mac OS X to Windows XP (Media Center themed) to Ubuntu using the native Mac OS X “Fast User Switching” mechanism. This is very cool!
Now for the downside to all of this:
- You cannot boot directly into Windows or Ubuntu (or any other OS you install)
- The left side of the MacBook will run extremely HOT
- Due to the extreme heat caused by running 3 OS’s in parallel the MacBook is known to freeze and reboot!
Remember, the MacBook already runs hot so this isn’t really a viable solution to running multiple OS’s at the same time though it is very very cool none the less.
