On Monday February 4th AOL will announce the acquisition of San Diego-based Goowy, a startup founded in late 2004 which has developed quite a nice set of simple & intuitive tools for communicating and sharing on the web. Essentially they have created a complete web-based desktop environment with all the tools needed to productive without all the fuss presented with most desktop platforms. Now all we need is a PC that boots straight to the Goowy webtop and we can forget that Vista ever happened.
