Mac OS X Leopard Quick Look Add-ons

April 22nd, 2008 by George Burnett

Apple’s newest Mac OS X Leopard release has tons of new and awesome features. One of the most noticeable and functional features is the Quick Look enhancement. Quick Look lets you preview supported files without having to open the associated program. You will find that Quick Look is extremely useful and addicting once you start using it. Currently Quick Look supports a handful of file types like:

  • Images
  • Text files
  • PDF files
  • Movies
  • Keynote presentations
  • Mail attachments
  • Microsoft Office formats (.doc, .ppt, .xls, etc…)

Noticeably there are quite a few missing file types here… so the YISTA crew has put together a small download called QuickLookinz that allows you to add those to Leopards Quick Look. Added file types are the following:

  • Illustrator (.AI, .EPS)
  • Archive files (.ZIP, .TAR, .BZIP, .ACE, .CAB, etc…)
  • File Folders (extended)

These are all made by different individuals on the Internet and all original licenses have been kept in tact. Please let us know by dropping a comment below if you find this download helpful.
