FCC Approves Emergency Alert Text-Messaging System

A program to create a nationwide alert system using cell phones and other mobile devices was approved Thursday by the Federal Communications Commission.
The system would send text messages to Americans when an emergency occurs.

Yahoo! Announces Support for OpenID

Allofmp3.com boss found not guilty

CNN reports that while western music companies pushed for punishment of AllofMP3.com owner Denis Kvasov, head of MediaServices, they instead witnessed Russian law executed as it was written.
Of course they claim they are going to appeal, but the Russian copyright law is still quite different from American copyright law.
Silly companies. Music is for the people.
