The BlackBerry 8300 Video

Looks like RIM is continuing to produce more non-business-oriented devices as this video leak of the BlackBerry 8300 has hit the net. The 8300, codename Daytona, is equipped with a 2-megapixel lens with flash and digital zoom that is controlled via the pearl. The 8300 also sports GPS and Wi-Fi for you mobile pleasures.

Microsoft Sanctioned Linux & Windows Unification

Software maker Novell Corp. said on Tuesday Microsoft Corp. will make two separate up-front payments totaling $348 million to the company under an agreement to allow Novell’s open-source Linux OS SuSe work with Windows.

XP on Intel iMac contest officially won.

It is final, the judges have confirmed the winning submitter has a working solution and has XP runnong on his iMac 17″. The winner has won the final cash prize of $13,854 (before taxes?). Mac OS X Hack Challenge Suspended

Dave Schroeder, a senior systems engineer at the University of Wisconsin, launched his contest on Monday. The objective is to hack into his Mac Mini and alter the website hosted on it. The Mac Mini is running Mac OS X 10.4.5 fully patched with SSH and HTTP open to the public.
